Meyerink and Company have withdrawn their application for the registration of the "Horse-shoe" Trade Mark claimed by Messrs. Marsland, Son & Company, and that the latter firm has now registered that mark in this Colony.

The question of affording protection to British manufactures in some such manner as that suggested in the letter from Messrs. Marsland Son and Company of C273 of the 18th August last has been referred to the Chamber of Commerce, and I will report in regard thereto when I am in possession of their views on the subject.

I have the honour to be, Sir, Your Most Obedient Humble Servant,

William Robinson
